Review – Lullaby Town By Robert Crais

A 4 out of 5

Lullaby Town by Robert Crais was a ‘different’ read for me, since I normally don’t read this genre.

One of the top Hollywood directors (majorly in awe of himself) hires Elvis Cole to track down a wife and son he abandoned a decade earlier. Cole tracks down the ex-wife and quickly finds that she’s under the thumb of the mob.  Can Cole save her and re-unite her with her former husband?

The novel was a fast-paced read with few if any dull moments. The plot contained twists and turns enough to satisfy any reader.

At the beginning Elvis Cole, the MC, seemed more like a jerk to me but he grew on me and by the end of the novel and was likeable and had me kinda/mostly in his corner cheering for him. (I haven’t read Crais previous Elvis Cole novels so this was my introduction to both Cole and his sidekick Pike) For me some of Pike’s feats were unbelievable.

Overall it was an enjoyable read.

If you are feeling noble – and have time – I just started a facebook page that could use some likes 🙂 Thanks!

  1. I haven’t read this book, but your review makes me want to add it to my TBR pile. The book also has a great title. Sometimes it is the little things . . .

Wasn’t a bad read, I just had trouble caring about the MC at the start. Again my lack of identification could be cause (as I said in the review) this isn’t the author’s first book featuring this MC and he may have been assuming some knowledge I didn’t have.

      Thanks for stopping by.
