Review – Dragondoom: A novel of Mithgar by Dennis L. McKiernan

Dragondoom: A Novel of Mithgar by Dennis L. McKiernan: I generally love McKiernan’s writing style – but this one put me off a bit with jumping back and forth in time. I truly struggled to keep reading at the beginning few chapters. I think it would have worked just as well or better if written in time-line order.

But as always – McKiernan presents a mixed cast of characters (human, dwarves, and dragons) with great character development. Even though this one took longer than others to do it, McKiernan manages to pull the reader into the story/setting and makes them care.  It has a touching romance that I didn’t expect and it did make me cry.
