March’s Spotlight

Kaserie, a slave girl possessing potential magical powers, is held by the ruthless and brutal Halurdow, who intend to corrupt her talent for their own use. She escapes and flees to the Temple of the Twin Gods where she must not only confront her formidable enemies, but also her own father.

[You can see a list of all the Tales of Aldura here]

Trivia Tidbit: This was the first story of the series known as ‘Tales of Aldura’ that I completed, and it was the catalyst for writing Choices. Kaserie’s Choice sprang from a writing prompt posted in a very small on-line writing/critique group to which I belonged. The group was unique not only for its small size (the owner/moderator intentionally kept it at less than 40 members), but also because 4/5 of the members were readers only. It was those non-writers who (imo) made that group the best of any writing/critique group I’ve participated in. Their reactions, comments, questions were invaluable.  Regrettably it no longer exists (hasn’t for many years). I still miss it.

  1. Kaserie’s Choice is a fast-moving, emotional story. I also love reading about the trivia tidbits. They give us a ‘behind the scenes’ look.

    • Thanks for stopping by … glad you enjoy the “tidbits”. Ya know, some day when I’m a rich and famous author, that could well be really juicy “inside stuff” — okay not gonna happen. 🙂

    • It is sad. I joined a similar group after that one and it was dreadful and I didn’t stay there long — I believe that one has died (which imo is a good thing). After that I found the one I’m in now. But I still miss that original group and the atmosphere there.

      Thanks for stopping by.
