Tayril grimaced. But now I know who set the watch-ward. Klintel couldn’t have gathered all the members of the Council this quickly otherwise. He shifted the sling holding his arm. “Perhaps if I collapse in the Council Chamber, they’ll be forced to pay attention?” He said under his breath.

“I’ll ask Dendri to prepare food for you and have Klintel’s son deliver it.” Yonlorein grinned. “You’ll at least have something to eat. Even his dislike of you would not cause the Chief Councilor to humiliate one of his own by refusing him permission to enter the chamber.” separator_bar

  1. I’m really looking forward to the upcoming Council Chamber scene, hoping Tayril can win against Klintel – or at least hold his own.
